With Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the rise, have you wondered how you could put it to use for your small business marketing? I have and I already do use it within my client’s marketing plans! But I also thought it would be fun to ask AI what it recommends. Using both Bard and ChatGPT, here is what they have to say:
AI can be used by small businesses in a variety of ways to improve their marketing, including:
AI can generate high-quality content in a variety of formats, including blog posts, social media posts, product descriptions, email newsletters, and more. This can save small businesses a lot of time and effort, and help them to create more engaging and informative content for their customers.
My take: a personalized brand voice is still very important! Use AI carefully – I would recommend using it for outlines or ideas and branching out from there, rather than strictly copying and pasting what it spits out.
AI can be used to develop and implement content marketing strategies. For example, it can be used to generate topic ideas, research keywords, and write content that is optimized for search engines. AI can also be used to create content calendars and track the performance of content marketing campaigns.
My take: again, make sure to use AI in conjunction with other tools. Your analytics are very valuable, so if looking at insights, if something AI recommends doesn’t align with what you’ve seen in the past, then be mindful of that! OR make sure you’re providing the AI that you are using with your social media insights to make sure that it has all of the necessary information.
Social Media Marketing
AI can be used to automate many of the tasks involved in social media marketing, such as scheduling posts, responding to comments, and running social media ads. This can free up small businesses to focus on other aspects of their business, such as developing products and services and building relationships with customers.
My take: if you aren’t using the automated chat features on Facebook, what are you waiting for? It is simple to set up and you can easily answer FAQ’s without an employee haven’t to take time to respond! That’s the lowest-hanging apple around.
AI can be used to conduct market research and identify new business opportunities. For example, AI can be used to analyze customer data, competitor data, and social media data to identify trends and opportunities.
AI can analyze customer reviews, feedback, and social media conversations to understand sentiment and gather ideas. It can identify pain points, needs, and desires that can be addressed in advertising campaigns. It can analyze trends across various industries, including fashion, technology, and pop culture, to suggest timely and relevant advertising concepts.
As you can see, AI can be very useful to small businesses, if used carefully and mindfully. If you’ve already delved into artificial intelligence in your everyday business life, what are some of the ways you have been using it? How have you used AI in small business marketing?
